color swatch

The color swatches in the Color Palette tab represent the colors you can use to paint zones and ink lines.

When you paint a zone or a line with a color swatch, Toon Boom Studio records the color swatch you used and then updates the zone or line when you change the properties of the swatch.

Styles within one color palette have the same color swatches (with potentially different color properties). If you switch styles, Toon Boom Studio recolors zones and lines with the properties of the color swatches in the active style.

Toon Boom Studio provides 120 default swatches that you can use to fill your animations with color. You can also add, edit, and delete color swatches to customize your color palette and palette style.
